I’m Julie—a certified event planner and award-winning floral designer with over 20 years of experience in event management, floral design, and wedding coordination. I’ve spent my career helping couples bring their dream weddings to life, working with some of the best vendors in the industry to create seamless, stunning, and stress-free celebrations. But I also know that not every couple has the budget—or the desire—to hire a full-service planner.

That’s why I created this space. Whether you’re a DIY bride planning every detail yourself, a couple looking for guidance along the way, or someone who just needs help with specific aspects like florals, etiquette, or day-of coordination challenges, I’m here to make the process easier, more enjoyable, and, most importantly, successful.

With over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry, I have owned my skills as a personal chef and caterer for the past 5 years. My journey has taken me through fine-dining restaurants, prestigious 5-star hotels, hospitals, and catering companies, providing me with a diverse and comprehensive understanding of culinary arts.

I am deeply passionate about my craft, viewing each dish as an opportunity for creativity and expression. With a sharp eye for detail and presentation, I approach cooking as an art form, where the plate becomes my canvas and I am the artist creating a masterpiece.

Whether you’re here for creative, budget-friendly menu suggestions, easy large group recipes, or to join a class on designing the perfect charcuterie, I’m here to help.

Kaye Beckford Owner | It’s Kaye Behind The Bar


Rhyssa Kathryn-Marie Beckford is a certified sommelier with 10 years experience in the bar and restaurant industry. Rhyssa has experience at working everything from behind a sports bar to fine dining. Her spirit/wine knowledge is so vast it can compliment any cuisine from Japenese to Italian. Her first bartending gig was at TGI Fridays on South Beach in Miami, Florida where  Rhyssa picked up flair knowledge and speed bartending. 10 years later in 2023 as bar manager, Rhyssa launched her own bar consultation firm merging it with her mobile bartending company “It’s Kaye, Behind the Bar”.

When I arrived in South Florida in 2013, I was greeted by the explosive wedding industry, and quickly learned that being a Wedding Officiant was a perfect fit for my passions and gifts. I started my business in 2013 at the age of 53. Since then, I have helped over 1,300 happy couples execute their ideal wedding ceremony.

Among the most valuable aspects of my job is the ability to form a trusting relationship with the couple to ensure their vulnerable moments become beautiful memories. As a professional wedding officiant, the highest compliment sounds like, “You are now like a friend or family member, Kat.” Indeed, there are many couples with whom I have stayed close. I even performed a baby blessing a year after marrying a couple!
