Advanced Build A Bouquet Workshop: Building and Using Armatures

Join us via Zoom for a two hour workshop that covers the basics of making and using your own armatures to create light and airy bouquets without overstuffing your stems. We will also review a number of the popular armatures available for purchase on our website and online.
What You’ll Need To Join Our Class:
You can absolutely opt to join us and take notes on the presentation, but it’s often helpful to have your own stems to practice with. For the sake of learning, it’s often best to start with some inexpensive, grocery store flowers that have varying stem weights and styles. We recommend:
– Jewelry wire or raffia-wrapped wire that’s thick enough to hold it’s shape, but pliable enough to bend (such as 6 or 9 gauge)
– Needle nose plyars
– One package of stiff-stemmed blooms, such as roses or carnations
– One to two packages of greenery, such as eucalyptus or ruscus
– One package of smaller blooms, such as spray roses
– One package of hollow-stemmed flowers, such as ranunculus, to practice wiring stems
You’ll also want to consider having:
– Clean, sharp shears
– Floral Tape
– Thin floral wire
– Rubber bands or zip ties
