What You’ll Need To Join Our Class:
You can absolutely opt to join us and take notes on the presentation, but it’s often helpful to have your own stems to practice with. For the sake of learning, it’s often best to start with some inexpensive, grocery store flowers that have varying stem weights and styles. We recommend:
Â
An assortment of florals in varying sizes, textures, and styles, including:
– One package of stiff-stemmed blooms, such as roses or carnations
– One to two packages of greenery, such as eucalyptus or ruscus
– One package of smaller blooms, such as spray roses, chamomile, baby’s breath, or other filler
– One package of hollow-stemmed flowers, such as ranunculus, to practice wiring stems
You’ll also want to have:
– A vase (bonus if it’s the vase you’ll be using in your wedding designs!)
– Wet foam bricks, as well as a full bowl of water (don’t pre-soak your brick)
– Clean, sharp shears
– Floral Tape
– Thin floral wire
